Plastic packaging and beverage cartons are valuable raw materials that can be recycled to a high standard. The industry organization RecyPac was set up to exploit this potential. In January 2025, the first municipalities introduced the new, national collection system - a significant step towards a standardized recycling solution in Switzerland.
At an event in Bern on January 16, 2025, a high-profile panel presented the advantages of the new recycling solution, explained the specific implementation and presented a roadmap for the coming months.
